Your PC’s sound. On your HomePod.
Lyrebird sits in the Windows tray and sends everything your PC plays — music, films, games, calls — to your AirPlay 2 speakers. Pick a speaker, flip the switch, done.
Free: 30 minutes of streaming a day, every feature included.
Three steps. No setup.
Install Lyrebird
A small tray app for Windows. It opens its panel by the clock and looks for speakers on your network.
Pick a speaker
Every HomePod, stereo pair and Apple TV on your network shows up as a tile. Click one.
Flip the switch
Whatever your PC plays now comes out of the speaker. Silence sends it to standby; sound wakes it again.
Built for listening.
Real-time mode
About 0.1 s of delay, close enough for video and games. Normal and Buffered modes ride out busy Wi-Fi.
Stereo pairs, in sync
Pick a stereo pair and both HomePods play their own channel on the same clock.
HomePod volume, here
A volume slider in the tray panel sets the speaker itself.
Standby on silence
Nothing playing? Lyrebird lets the speaker rest and picks up again with the first sound.
Any audio
System audio by default; the free VB-Cable driver for copy-protected players.
A quiet PC
Optionally mute the PC’s own speakers while streaming, and get them back when you stop.
Starts with Windows
Turn on “Start streaming on launch” once, and the speaker is ready every time.
Speaks your language
Eleven languages, following Windows by default.

Questions
Which speakers work?
AirPlay 2 receivers: HomePod, HomePod mini, HomePod stereo pairs and Apple TV.
Do I need to change a HomePod setting?
In the Home app, under Speakers & TV access, choose “Everyone on the same network” or “Require password”. “Only people sharing this home” keeps Windows out. The PC and the speaker must be on the same network.
Is there a delay?
Real-time mode is about 0.1 s. Normal (2 s) and Buffered (3 s) trade delay for steadier playback on crowded Wi-Fi, and you can set your own between 50 and 1000 ms.
Do I need VB-Cable?
Usually not. Install it only if a copy-protected player records as silence, or you want the PC itself to stay completely silent.
What does the free version leave out?
Nothing but time: every feature works, for 30 minutes of streaming a day. Only time with sound actually playing counts, and it resets at midnight.
I got a new PC. What about my license?
Remove the old PC in Lyrebird’s License window or on the My license page, then activate the new one. One key covers up to 3 PCs at a time.
